My go to tyre

5

My tyre of choice for the past 3 years straight. Nothing performs better or gives me the confidence like these do. Wet, dry weather, severe gradients up or down...never failed me.

GP4000sII

5

Been riding these for about 10 years now, after growing tired of flats on lesser tires. Rarely do I flat these days (riding/racing 3-4 days/week) and just saying that is a risk I can afford to take. No jinx can change my experience. Not looking to switch since these are respected as the best all-around tires on the road.

Got these on sale at a very decent price, one of the best tires on the market. IMO, best bang for your buck!

Tough and reliable

5

My wife and I ride tarmac, remote back roads, and dirt roads. Our rides are generally long and self-supported. We choose the 4000s for durability and resistance to puncture. These tires are fantastic for the kind of roads and long mileage routes we ride. We get very few punctures with our tires, even though we have rocks sticking into them and bouncing off of them on most of rides. We highly recommend these tires.

Excellent modern 28mm tyres

Felt the difference after changing from 25mm - less resistance on climbs and have been smashing PRs in climbs by 1-2+ mins!!! Highly recommended

Continental tires

4

I have these tires 4 stars based off friends from my group ride. These guys have been riding for over thirty years. They know what works. I have only mounted them, with no rides. To the touch the rubber feels grippy. I have no doubt that these will be the best tires that I will ever ride.

Great Tire

5

I've used several tires over the past but have switched over to the Grand Prix 4000 for several years now. Great traction and last a long time.

Great tires

Been riding Conti tires for ever, but have tried a few other options - Schwable, Vittoria (though not their newest offerings). Had the Conti GP Force/Attack combo before, too, but appreciate the wider options available on the GP4000... and everything else about them. Also love the PBK multi-buy and other discount options available, making a new pair of these a reasonable purchase.

Overall - Very Good Tires

4

About two years ago I switched from Vittoria Diamante Pro tires to these Continental Grand Prix 4000 S-II after looking for tires that are more resistant to punctures by rocks and glass. After reading many reviews, I settled on these Grand Prixs. I have been very satisfied with the puncture resistance when compared to my old Vittorias. I've gone through the occasional broken glass and many rocks without incident. The GP's seem to last about 1500 to 2000 miles in my mixture of city and country road riding. Their traction is good. I haven't had a problem on the few wet roads on which I've ridden. But, I am a fair-weather rider. I would have rated them a 5, but I had two tires that had some thread-like material unravel from the area around the rim. There didn't appear to be any effect on the tire performance or longevity, but it was a bit worrisome because I hadn't previously seen this on any tire.
