Good tyre

Hi, I wanted a winter tyre as I live in Canberra Australia. It get down to -5 in the morning. So far it has been great.

Continental Grand Prix 4 Season Folding Road Tyre

An extremely durable tyre. Rode an event over 170kms over some terrible back roads in NSW and no punctures. Good grip in the wet. Well worth the extra money.

Good all around tire

5

I have used the GP 4000S tire for years but wanted something a little more durable with better traction in the rain. The tread wraps up around the center of the tread and makes the ride a little less smooth. However the tire seems more grippy on the fine sand and dirt we have on the roads here in the desert. I will have to wait for the monsoon to start to see abut the wet weather traction. After 1200 miles wear seems minimal. I use the 25 mm size at 95 psi and the ride is very comfortable. All in all, I think this is a good all around tire, maybe not great at any one thing, but pretty darn good at everything.

Exceptional tires! I have the 28c tires. Using them on a cyclocross bike for pea gravel trail riding. Also for riding roads in winter. Great for handling wet/slippery conditions and potholes. No flats in a year of riding these tires.

Happy

Have used Continentals for the last 5 years or so but mainly Grand prix 40000s. Decided to give these a try for my winter bike as more suited to winter riding according to the continental chart. Also went for a 25mm rear for a change. Very happy so far, have been out in some very wet conditions and they roll fine yet seem grippy enough on corners and when stopping. Over some fairly bad roads they give a comfortable ride as long as you avoid the potholes obviously and so far no punctures. No tyre expert but I'm happy with these for winter training so far.

The best 4 seasons tire.

Upgraded from Vittoria rubino pro. The tire has more grip on dry or wet surfaces, rolling better and no flats so far.

There are of course well known quality winter tyres. I've only ridden 4 or 5 times on them so far, so longevity and puncture resistance over the longer term remains unknown, but so far, these have just felt really nice tyres - good grip and roll well - they don't feel like heavy duty winter tyres (and hopefully they are puncture resistant!)

So far, so good

Bought these to put on my winter bike after a little off in Feb. So far they seem pretty good...& I can see why lots of people suggest these for winter tyres..a little pricey, but worth it for the piece of mind.
