Winter must have tyres!
5I have ridden over 22,000 km's in the last 24 months and have used around 25 tubes due to punctures. I have used various Vittoria and Schwalbe tyre until now. The last 5,000 km's I have been riding with the GatorHardshells. I have to admit, I have had 3 flats, 2 were pinch flats because I wasn't paying attention at the time and the third was a genuine puncture. I collected a furniture staple whilest riding through a busy intersection. I knew it had stuck in the tyre but was unable to stop for 20 meters which drove the staple though the tyre and into the tube. I forgive it for this. They have a few slashes on them and I have removed plenty of shards of glass after a ride but by my guess they will go another 5,000 km's easy. Tread is thick still but I have all the confidence in them. Where and how far I ride can be checked on Strava at http://app.strava.com/athletes/142799. I plan to use these 700 X 25C's indefinitely, they are a great "confidence" tyre. If I raced, then that would be another story! They might be a little heavy for climbing but you can carry less spares, with confidence, to compensate for that!

Bombproof
5These tires are simply amazing. I've had the same set on for a year and a bit now and not even a scratch. No cuts, no punctures and no flats. I've ridden these tires on glass covered roads and never had a problem. These would make great commuting tires, or even training tires. They are great for anyone really who rides on poor quality roads and wants the extra puncture protection. The one drawback of the tires is the ride quality. If you over inflate them you will have a hard and harsh ride. Also since the rubber is a bit on the harder side, you will have to be more careful in wet weather. As long as you don't speed like a bat out of hell and take turns like you were racing you'll be fine. Overall amazing tire and highly recommended them for anyone fed up with flat tires.

no punctures,roll smoothly
5Cycling 57yrs this year 13,pity these wernt around all those years ago.Run mine at 110psi,one puncture in over 2 years,that was in a pair of original Gatorskins,just fitted a set of the Hardshells,on my Orbea,and hope for trouble free miles.

Best All-Season and Training Tire

I have used these tires since they became available. Nothing short of fabulous.
Sweet roll and corning.
No flats.
Easy mount and removal by hand.
Perfectly aligned on my rims.
Very durable and long lasting.
I've used lots of tires over 40+ years of cycling and Gatorskin Hardshell's are my all-time favorite.

Great value
5Averaging 5000 miles a year on a rear tyre of this type. Had a staple go through the one currently on the bike. That was 1000 miles ago. I am 6’ 6� & 270#, I am rough on the parts. This tyre is exceptional, delivered across the pond with free shipping. Ya’ll are the best! Thanks PBK, Jim

great city tires
5these work great on my track bike that I use for everyday riding, these work well with the abuse of potholes wet floors and constant skidding, and I've had them for about a month now and they're still good

best tires made
5Over all the best tires made, I've had these for two years riding 5 days a week to and from work with is about 8 miles there and back, got one pinch flat, but within two years that's just great, really amazing tires

Solid, fast, awesome

Bought these due to an abundance of winter flats on my previous tyres, these are an order of magnitude better.
Keeps me upright and stays inflated, couldn't really ask for more.
