The Continental Competition Tubular Road Tyre is the choice of tyre for pro road racers and triathletes. It's the most dependable tyre in the pro pelaton and has proven itself time and time again on the world stage, including Cadel Evans' win at the Tour de France in 2011.
With a combination of the 22mm dimpled Black Chili compound and reliable construction, the Competition tubular increases grip while also lowering rolling resistance. All this technology doesn't affect wear and 4 layers of puncture protection provides additional durability.
A layer of cut Vectran under the tread of the nylon breakers to reduce weight and improve rolling resistance and comfort. Handmade in Germany, the Competition Tubular is made by the seamstress team and production staff in Korbach. - A.D.

An absolutely brilliant tub. Service from Probikekit top notch
Lightness and grip is very good. In particular, the trust goes from a corner. If you tire of trouble Recommended.
I bought these tires for racing. I`m normally used continental gatoskin tyres, but competition is better than grip and confidence. If you get a better record, I recommend this tyre.
Did hundreds of miles on same tyres including 3 ironmans throughout 2013 and tyres still have very little sign of wear and no cuts. No punctures and no issues. Good grip in all weathers and all surfaces. Including 50 degree heat in Switzerland, wet roads in Wales and a couple of miles of rubble track at Lanzarote. Mine are 19mm. Would be hard to find a lighter tyre with any decent puncture protection. There is a large element of luck. 2012 brought me a couple of punctures with GP4000, which one would have expected to be more robust because heavier.
Best tubular I have used, for all terrain, very reliable.
Comfortable and powerful grip. light and strong... Recommended!
Great tyre, approx 2000km possible before they need to be replaced.
It's the best tire I tried, good grip, fast acceleration and durability
After riding many tubulars over the years Continental by far makes the best tubular out there. Weight vs. longevity, it's hard to beat this tire for everyday and race use. Most every time a flat does occur it's not the tire's fault, but a stone or nail puncturing the side wall. By all means we all have had our share of bad luck, and when you do get a puncture please don't blame any tire, rather blame it on tough luck -- it happens to the best of us.
