Didn't know whether to get one of these… Should I make my own; should I find a cheaper one; do I even really need one; was I just spending money for spending money's sake??? Soon as I took if out of the box, tweaked the feet & central arm, and tested in on one of my many wheels (hanging around in ever increasing numbers), it forged a permanent place in my arsenal of bike tools - again, ever increasing! Glad I bought it!

If you are building or truing wheels this is an invaluable piece of kit. It is used to ensure the wheel rim is centred on the hub, or dished. Park make a 'travel' version or this 'professional' shop version. This one has a solid build quality and is really easy to use. you don't even need to remove the tyres if truing a wheel, as the blocks that touch the rim move on the slides. It is quick and easy to adjust and will last a lifetime.
