The Park Tool CC-3.2 Chain Wear Indicator is a useful tool that allows you to find out how worn your chain is before you need to change it. A worn chain not only shifts poorly and wears down sprockets at an accelerated rate, but it also causes damage to other components of the drive chain. To use the CC-3.2 Chain Wear Indicator, simply insert the tool into the top of the chain and read the measurement. If the chain reaches between 0.75% and 0.5% then the chain is worn or beginning to reach its end and needs to be replaced before other chain components are affected too. - R.K.
Please Note: Consider that if you replace a chain because of wear other vital drive-chain components may need to be renewed too.

An excellent product that does exactly as stated, and is very easy to use. This should save many cassettes and chainrings from worn chains so is great value.
I always have my chain wear indicator tool handy and replace my chain as soon as it passes the 0.75 mark. I would definitely recommend purchasing this indicator over the more expensive version, as you really don't need to know the exact mark -- simply knowing whether or not the chain is >0.75 will suffice.
For the price, it's worth it, else you'll ruin your cassette often! Very simple of use, it's useful, i'll wouldn't go back not using one
This is essential for any at home mechanics. It gives an incredibly accurate reading of when to replace your chain, and it is well worth the money. Best to replace the chain at .75 wear as indicated by the indicator.
