Extreme is the ideal choice for Freeride/Dirt or MTB bikes. Combined with the comfortable and strong AISI 304 stainless steel tubular frame, it can stand up to the toughest treatment in extreme cycling conditions. The shape of the saddle and the extremely comfortable padding make this one of the most comfortable saddles around, that has been designed for use even without the traditional padded shorts.

Needed to replace the Specialised Body Geometry saddle on my hybrid which was beginning to wear after some sterling service . Got my sit bones measured so knew I was looking for a wider "performance" style replacement which would be at home both on and off road. Did my research and was swayed by reviews I had seen on Selle SMP products and as PBK had a well priced selection took the plunge on the SMP4 Extreme. This is an unusual but good looking saddle which is certainly the business on my copper coloured frame . More importantly its pretty comfortable. Regularly cycle for 3-4 hours and occasionally longer and so far the saddle has measured up well being supportive without being over-padded. The rails are good and long and also calibrated so it's simple to set and adjust your position and the undulating shape poses no issues if you like to move around a lot as I do. Additionally the "eagle beak" nose does a good job of not catching on shorts or tights when you are in or out of the saddle and the wide channel groove eliminates man - bit numbness. Saddles are a personal thing but the SMP4 works for me. Add in a decent pair of padded shorts and a smear of chamois cream and you can concentrate on your ride , not your discomfort .

Replaced my Cube Ltd Race RFR saddle for this one. Early days yet but initial feedback is that after two long rough trail rides I am free from the usual anal soreness and pain. Happy days.
