Road pedal that feels solid and locked in when applying power.
Have used SPD-SL in the past with the R540 pedals. These feel less rattly than my SPD's or R540's and more locked in, the tension for clipping in/out is quite tight but feels secure. Did a 40 mile ride with them without any issues, even set a few PR's. I wouldn't call them entry level as there are cheaper more beginner friendly alternatives, more a good value step up. I much prefer pedals with spanner flats, the Shimano spindle is heavy but I know from other pedals the bearings and seals should last well and they are easy to unscrew from the body to check and regrease occasionally. I applied anti-seize to the pedal threads as plan to keep them on through the winter and beyond.
You get what you pay for
Avarage at best , they are stiff and don’t always come back to the proper position so clipping in isn’t always easy
Great value
Great pedals for the price, Difficult to justify paying more for most uses.
Great value
for the price of what I paid, it was a great value and great for beginners who are looking for a mid range pedal.
First pedal
Should have been 5 excellent stars. If not for the tracking, specially those ordering abroad. But other than that. Parcel came on time and in perfect condition. Planning to order more soon. More powers to all at the Probikekit. :-)
Road Pedals
These pedals are a great first set if you are just getting into the clipless shoes. Reliable and easy to use and selling for a great price. I bought these for my daughter and she loves them. I also have a set but will be looking to upgrade mine to something a little lighter in the near future.
Clip on pedals
Great product. As this were my first foray into clip on pedals I was a little hesitant at first. Very easy to adjust tension to allow quick release when needed. Holds shoes in place throughout pedal stroke. Would highly recommend.
Comfortable
I'm really happy with these pedals so far. I was using the basic Look Keos before, but they had worn down and I had to replace them, so I only have those to compare to. The Shimanos are far more comfortable, less play, and really easy to clip in and out, wish I had upgraded to these sooner.
