GREAT PEDALS THIS IS MY SECOND SET OTHERS DONE ABOUT 40,000 KMS LOOK GOOD ALSOReport this review
Bought these to replace some well used M520's. I guess being new helps but they feel smoother than the 520's and the clip in/out a bit more positive. They are also a good looking pedal and my 2007 Specialised bike need all the help it can get!Report this review
Replaced my maintenance heavy Crank Bro Candy 2's with these. Was worried I would have more difficulty clipping in, but it has not been an issue. Amazing pedals for the price I paid. Quick delivery by PBK.Report this review
This is my second set of these pedals, bought for a new bike. The first set are five years old and still work like new. These pedals are simply all but bomb proof (and they may well be that if someone wanted to run a test). The M540's need little maintenance and never have come out of adjustment. My first pair have stood up to cyclocross racing and gravel road riding, have been banged on rocks and more. Great pedal, especially at the price.Report this review
Purchased the M540 pedals to replace a cheapo set I had previously installed. First, the quality of the pedal materials is excellent and the pedals are decently finished with no rough edges. The pedals came with detailed instructions and guidance for mounting both pedals and cleats. The threads on the pedal spindles are sharp and clean, no issues in mounting to the crank arms. Cleat release pressure is adjustable. I only have a few miles on the pedals to date but they have performed well and are head and shoulders above the set these pedals replaced. I am sure that I will get many happy miles on them. The Shimano M540s are an excellent value, good quality and well made. I highly recommend them. Hat's off to probikekit.com for offering them at such a reasonable price.Report this review
Didn't realise I had to use a 8mm allan key for this pedals, so I had to purchase one. Other than the above the pedals bearings are really smooth and they are much lighter than my Wellgo's.Report this review
have been using these and their cheaper cousin the 520s for about 15 years on my road and MTB - 100% reliableReport this review
Good value product with very high quality... Feels greatReport this review
These are easy to adjust, but not as light as the 520 model. I like the adjustability of the spring tension. The bearings last long and dont need maintenance. They more pricey then the 720 model but well worth it.Report this review
Overall great pedals, albeit a dash heavier than the 770 or other higher end models. However, has the signature crisp shimano feel, and bearings are smooth and fluid.
Great product at a much lower price point than the top end technologies.
