With the new Keo 2 Max Blade LOOK presents the technology of a pedal with composite blade. With that new material, the sensations of engaging and disengaging are located at an intermediary level between a spring pedal and a pedal with a carbon blade. The use of composite also proposes blades with a greater rigidity scope benefiting from the Blade technology and usable by all the users. The support surface has also been optimised and provides excellent pedalling stability.

I purchased these pedals as a back up to a cheaper pair that had started 'clicking'. I am optimistic that the higher spec bearing arrangement of these Max Blade Pedals will not reveal the same problem. I chose the 8Nm spring setting as I normally have the adjusters set to the lowest level on adjustable pedals. The locking of the cleat appears more subtle than the torsion spring type of pedal. I have not experienced any 'Involuntary' un-cleating and I have been able to un-cleat when I want. The pedals fall into a vertical position naturally which makes finding them with your feet easy. I would say this is a quality product that compliments black cranks.
