Had this on my road bike for over two years about 1000 miles of use. It was basically still operating and wearing like new but when I upgraded to a carbon frame I couldn’t resist and replaced this model with a record carbon primarily for looks. That being said, the veloce 10 shifts crisp and reliable and stays within its adjustable range over time. The finish on the cage is very durable and holds up well to chain wear. I would highIy recommend this model for the majority of cyclists who need a durable top performing front derailleur. The lower price is not a reflection of its quality. In my case I ended up taking the braze-on section of this Veloce and combined/converted it with a parts clamp on Record carbon unit. I will say however to my surprise actually, that the record 11 front derailleur that I upgraded to shifts smoother and faster and I was not expecting this. Yes I’m using a Record 11 front derailleur on a ten speed chain and drivetrain. I’ve been building road bikes for over 30 years and usually there is little difference in actual performance from lower Campagnolo components other than weight (excludes shift levers). 90 percent of people will be serviced well by the veloce front
My old Campag front mech finally gave up the ghost after 17 winters of fairly constant use. As one of the last remaining original components on my winter bike I saw no reason not to replace it on a like for like basis. The Veloce model was the closest fit and ProBike Kit had a great offer on at the time of purchase and standard delivery was very quick. I'd recommend Campag components to any riders and ProBike Kit as an excellent on-line supplier - they always have a good stock and offer very competitive prices
