Simple
5Bought this as I recently dropped the chain off the small ring causing it to jam up which cost me a chain, rear mech and mech hanger. Fitting this will save me money in the future. A good investment easy to fit and works great!

5This little piece of metal has been applied to ALL of my family's bikes. My wife's Pinarello dropped the chain last year while she was climbing and got wedged between the sprocket and the frame. Left a nasty quarter sized paint chip. Just paid $180 to have that painted. BUY this $12 Token chain drop catcher. Its well worth it!

5Very well designed easy to install and keep the chain from sliding down during fast gear change.

Catchy
4Not installed the Token Chain Drop Catcher for Road Double Chainsets yet, as the day before a sportive didn't seem to be the right time to take my front mech apart! However, it comes with all the fittings you'll need and some instructions - easy peasy.

5Protect your valuable frame's bottom bracket/chainstays with this inexpensive chain catcher. If installed properly and according to the instructions provided, works like a charm. I find that this catcher is very similar to the K-edge chain catcher but is a fraction of the cost. Hurry and get yours today

I purchased this initially as an alternative to the "dog fang" and I was pleasantly surprised at how light this thing was. The package came with 3 different mounting screws, colour matched too.
Only works with a braze on front derailleur and if you have a band on one, it will not work as this bolts directly onto the front derailleur mount.
This is jewellery for your bike and works very well indeed.
Not just for carbon frames
5What a lovely if small piece of gear. I installed this on my steel frame to protect the paint, but it's more than just a frame protector. This catcher works brilliantly to keep from dropping your chain in the midst of hard climbs over rough roads. The weight is negligible, for the money, there's simply no reason not to put this on your bike.

4A must have for your carbon frames, cheap and protects the bottom bracket area from unwanted chain drops. I have them on all my carbon frames.

Something as insignificantly small and light as this device can have a major mechanical (and psychological) effect on preservation of your expense frame. Even when your drive-train is properly adjusted, there exists the possibility of chain drop in a large-to-small chain ring shift. This little piece of machine alloy offers a mechanical restriction from such an episode. To paraphrase our old friend Murphy, 'if something can go wrong, it will . . . and at the worst possible moment.' This is cheap insurance.
The Token Drop Catcher comes with 2 mounting bolts, one alloy, the other steel weighing 6 and 10 grams respectively (measured on my scale and with the provided star washer.) There are no instructions for mounting, but it's not rocket science. Remove the FD bolt, choose and install its replacement, set the Token clearance about 1-1.5mm from the small ring mounting bolt, tighten, check shifting performance, and off you go. Bottom line, at up to 1/3 the cost of other manufacturer's similar product, you can't go wrong.
