Garmin Edge 800
5Had a Garmin Edge 500 that packed it in after 4 years and decided it was time to update. Received the 800 in short order from ProbikeKit. It fit on the 500 mounting system without any modifications. Was able to customize my screen settings easily and feel I have all the data I would ever need. Purchased a couple of extra map cards and look forward to exploring these features further. Particularly like the fact that with the 800 I can find my way back if I am in unfamiliar back country. For the price I would highly recommend this product. Once you get use to the data you will not want to cycle without it.

4As the top offering from cycling data leaders Garmin, their Edge 800 serves up a complete menu of training data capture, navigation, and performance monitoring – all with an easy to read and use touchscreen. It’s ANT+ data signal makes it compatible with a variety of other manufacturer’s devices too. -pezcyclingnews.com

4I bought this for my husband last Christmas & he loves it. It is extremely reliable and it has really helped his training. The heart rate monitor is really comfy, I have the edge 500 and that strap is much bulkier than the edge 800. The touch sreen is really easy to use, especially to have a quick look at something while riding, this is a feature that my husband loves. Of course he can look at everything he has done by downloading it, It has definatly helped him improve and get stronger even on hills. The memory is excellent too. I researched this for ages and the edge 800 ticked most of the boxes. The only reason I have given it a four is; although it has some mapping, the maps for the cities need to be bought seperate and its more expensive to get the NZ ones, which is a little unfair. Regardless, we would totally recommend this if you are serious about getting stronger and improving your riding strenght and fitness buy this you won't be disappointed.
