5Once you learn to use it andwrite tranings is usefull for your trainings. You don't need more than the EDGE 500. Unfortunatelly it isn't have wifi but after use the USB cable you can add to Garmin Connect and automatically to Strava.

3Ive done just under a thousand miles with the Garmin 500, which I would describe as moderate use. Initial set up is a little fiddly and time consuming but once you have your screens set up, its quite a natty piece of kit with a mind blowing amount of information. That said it has been less that perfect in its speed, distance and altitude calculations and annoying when your climbing up a steep gradient only to find its not been recording anything for the last half a mile due to the trees or some such. Other points are the cadence sensor you get with the 500 tends to get nudged either towards the crank arm or the wheel thus a clicking and no cadence or clicking and no speed (if on the trainer without GPS on). The final point is that the Heart rate monitor has stopped working after 7 months of use and I can not for the life of me get it to work, I have tried with a number of different batteries and tricks to try and reset it but to no avail so it looks like ill have to purchase another strap and HR monitor, which i think for a premium product at premium price is a bit poor. Sometimes I miss my old wired Cateye strada for the pace arrow super light weight and simple functionality and cost effectiveness. I do like the 500 but it's expensive and has some flaws which I don't believe it should have at this price.

4Garmin edge 500. Neat design, mount onto bars simple and effective. The cadence mount was a bit of a pain to fit neatly but that was just my bike Focus Cayo. Gives all the data you need but I don't seem to be able to view heart rate on the move?

5Very good price, it was an upgrade from my Edge 200, a little more complicated than the 200 but has many more functions, HRM worked first time, had a little trouble with the first upload, but solved it easily with a full reset. Very interesting seeing all the extra readings and I'm now going to start to train using the HRM.

4Does what you need. Easy to configure, set up and use. Links well with Strava for your ride analysis. Yet to fully investigate the Garmin sites but from various comments I have read do not expect much so plan to mainly use for ride info plus Strava for analysis.

5Garmin has proven to be on top of the market time and time again with their GPS models. The Edge 500 is no exception. The cadence, gps and heart rate bundle is the best option to chose when purchasing the Edge 500. The Heart Rate monitor is the best that I have ever used, with constant updates. The cadence sensor is also fantastic. It changes regularly to show your average cadence which is very useful for training. The plug in feature is also excellent. Easily plug it in via USB to your computer and you will receive a whole host of facts and figures. The Edge 500 is in a league of its own, matching some of it's bigger brothers such as the Edge 510 and Edge 800. If you are looking for the next training computer, look no further than the Garmin Edge 500!

5I used to have a good cycle computer, but after the acquisition of this gps based one, I can tell the difference on the training. Besides that, it was a bargain from PBK, as I bought in a bundle with lots of SIS stuff.
