Nice, reliable, compact, I love mine

5

I have been using one of these ever since I got my first nice carbon road bike. This has been very reliable and considering I've ridden in the rain plenty, including a couple of torrential downpours, it still works like the day I bought it.

The simple push button on the top to scroll between data fields like speed, distance, time, duration, and averages couldn't be any easier to use. There are no buttons on the side to be fumbling around with. I got the black one but I've seen them in white too so you can match your bike. The nicest thing about this setup is that all the data is captured wirelessly so there are no cords to run, just a small magnet attached to your wheel, a sensor attached to your fork, and a very easy to use mechanism to fit around your bar or stem (whichever you decided to attach it too).

I have been very happy with this Cateye and I recommend anyone looking for a simple computer to give this a shot.

Small and Simple

The Cateye Strada wireless is a great computer. It's made in Japan so it's reliable as anything.
The fastening brackets are cleverly designed and no tools are required for installation.
I like that it fits on my stem and does not look bulky or cumbersome.
Functionality is great for a basic computer, it has everything you need such as max speed, distance, odo, time etc. The menu is easy to navigate through by depressing the unit itself rather than having a button. It's sleek.
Highly recommended for anyone with a road bike that wants an easy to install easy to use computer that will last a very long time.

Sleek and Reliable

5

Simple one-button interface, nothing to fiddle with when you're riding maximum effort. While the sensor has to be pretty close (around 12mm) to the magnet to get a signal, I've never had any problems. It has all of the features that most riders will need. The FlexTight mounting bracket is innovative, allowing mounting to either stem or handlebars. If you're a weight weenie, this is a very light setup, everything together around 45g. For those that don't require power meter or GPS functions, this is probably the best computer that can be had.

Simple, elegant and functional

Sleek computer, blends in really well with my frame. Fairly easy to set up and everything has been securely in place since I set it up, even considering where I live is practically a mine field of pot holes. I have also got caught in a few down pours without any issues with the computer.

Whole screen is a button keeping it simple, and if you have the instructions setting up time and the odo is simple. This computer is great and I am considering getting one for my second bike (Maybe the cadence one).

Cons are you cannot see everything at once, thats is assuming you need to see everything at once

Easy to install and use. Definite thumbs up!

This is the first Bicycle Computer I owned- has all the functions you need with the exception of cadence(which I don't require at this stage). The directions are very simple and the installation was relatively straightforward - I thought I'd have trouble aligning the magnet with the sensor but it only took me one try. The user interface is clean and overall it is well constructed. The buttons are a bit small...but then again this unit is so compact that it fits securely right on the stem.

Bottom line: Go with this one. It's always nice to have something that functions and actually does what it claims. I'm extremely satisfied with my choice. 4 stars out of 5(since no backlit display).
