Good Value and Quiet
5Was going to buy another KMC but bought this to pair with a new 105 cassette. Good choice so far. A lot quieter and smoother than my last KMC and Shimano pairing and cheaper. The chain only came in a plastic bag with no other packaging or instructions! Check installation on Youtube - the chains are directional (you may know this but I didn't) and Shimano also recommend which end of the link the connection should be made (I didn't know that either!).

Value
5What is there to say. Standard replacement chain. Great value in Shimano's 105 lineup. Great price at Probike

Great chain by any standard
5This generation Shimano chains are best ever, and 105 is best value of the bunch. Agree with Corey (above) that shifting is smoother than older models. Big European cycling magazine found this chain to be among longest lasting in their testing. Just take care to follow installation instructions (including proper orientation (unidirectional!) & connecting pin insertion.

great chain, smooth shifting
5I was sceptical about feeling the difference in shifts between this chain and its 5600 series predecessor, but I was surprised. The shifts are a bit smoother in both directions under load, which is a nice step up in the world (trickle-down Shimano technology strikes again). Seems to be pretty long-wearing as well, which is better than some of the super high-end, crazy lightweight chains that stretch to the ends of the earth after a few rides...
