Shimano 105 chain

The idea of a 'directional' chain seems to enhance performance. It is a high quality product at economical price. One small point ProBikeKit could point out is how installing the correct direction of the chain is clarified, e.g. are there any markers on the chain?

Great Chain

Even without a masterlink system, I really prefer using shimano chains with shimano products. I'm sure that the difference in shifting is marginal, but I like to tell myself that it matters. Easy to install and comes lubed just like any good chain.

These chains are a great value. A good quality chain for a great price. Allows a cyclist to chain their chains more frequently at a cheaper cost and still have great shifting performance. A great chain to use for winter cycling too.

Great Value Chain

Arrived quickly, pretty easy to fit using park chain tool. Instantly noticed a difference in shifting quality, even in the current crappy weather. I fitted it to SRAM drivetrain. Does the job great, not sure why it's necessary to spend more. At this price how can you go wrong ?

I have used one of these chains previously and found it so good that I decided to buy another. Although Shimano chains have a rivet to fit the chain instead of a quick link it is not a problem to install but does require a chain tool to do it. Once fitted the chain looks great with a plated finish and slots in the link plates it stands out. The 105 chain is reliable and smooth in action, with a quality that belies its' price.

The Shimano 105 chain is a great value. I like to change my chains often in order to save the cassette which cost a lot of money. I don't notice any difference in shifting between the 105 chain and the more expensive Dura Ace chain, so why spend more money needlessly.
