I ow have KMC chains on all of my road bikes, which have either Shimano or SRAM drivetrains. The KMC chains are easy to remove, clean and replace thanks to their special link. I have fitted this one to my winter bike, given its enhanced durability.
Shifts just as well as the shimano chain. But a better deal.
Shifts quiet and smooth on my 6600 series Ultegra and FSA SLK light crankset. Weight as advertised. Half the price of most chains and other than a few grams more I cant determine any weaknesses at all.
Will be my go to chain for all bikes from now on.
I've used SRAM 9 and 10 speed chains for years and thousands of miles without a glitch. The secret is to keep them clean, oiled and replaced when it meets it's gauged limites. It's a lot cheaper to change a worn chain then worn chain rings.
I use these chains interchangeably with Sram's and Shimano's offerings on my road bike without issue. They offer a great value and a very reasonable price. I tend to get just as much use out of these as I do the other chains, and these are typically a little bit cheaper (always a consideration on something you replace at regular intervals). Keep this one in mind next time you're looking for a 10 speed chain.
strong rust free at a decent price and not to heavy
My whole drive train is Shimano but I have recently had balky shifting with Shimano chains. (I know, they are directional now). I changed to a KMC chain and was pleasantly surprised at the difference in shifts. Better, cleaner, quicker and quieter.
I don't know very much about chains but I ride with this on my fixed gear bike and have had no problems. It seems to withstand all of the wear and tear of my everyday riding
I bought as a toss-up between the Campagnolo Veloce chain; which I know is an excellent chain and I can trust and the KMC X10, which I've read good reviews. So I thought I would try it and if it doesn't work, at least I can go back to the Campag chain.
Initial reactions after 300 miles in 4 weeks have been good with no problems, so I'll see if it can hack a full season. I also bought another one for my mountain bike which uses Mr Shimano's finest.
