Dura-Ace cluster
5I am glad that I stayed with the Dura-Ace cassette, lots of local bike shops tried to sell me am Ultegra cassette on price, but the quality and light weight of the Dura-Ace is worth the extra.

Dura Ace 7900 cassette
5Not a lot to say about a cassette apart from it does exactly what it says on the tin. I reckon the shifting is slightly crisper that my previous Ultegra cassette but that might just be me trying to convince myself the extra expense is justified.

always smooth and positive
4The largest three cogs on the new Dura-Ace cassette are supported by a separate cold-forged aluminium alloy carrier, as are the next two sprockets.This increases stiffness and reduces weight – as does the fact that the largest four cogs are made from titanium. All this means that the cassette weighs in at a paltry 185g.Shifting performance up and down is almost always smooth and positive, although sometimes the transitions are so smooth you catch yourself wondering whether it has changed gear at all.

smooth, quiet, light
4smooth, quiet, light - but expensive. I use this with a Sram groupset (gasp!) but it still shifting perfectly, and it quieter than the top end Sram cassette. Still going strong after a couple thousand miles - we'll see how durable it is in the long run.

Just what you want on a race wheel
5I use these cassettes on all my race wheels, you cant beat the weight, quality of shifting and range of gearing available on Dura Ace

Great for racing
5Great light cassette for racing. Wide range of gearing options. Smooth & crisp-shifting (with proper chain & RD adjustment of course). Does not wear as well as Ultegra cassette, so I reserve more $$$ DA for races.
