Now I know what control feels like
I had endless problems with my mechanical disc brakes (the worst of which included not being able to stop beyond a certain grade), and after almost 3 years decided to make the switch to hydraulic discs. All the reviews pointed to this model as being the best option without upgrading to Di2, and since that's insanely expensive, I bought these brakes (along with SM-RT99 rotors) and had my local bike shop do the install. The difference is mindblowing. I can easily bring my bike to a stop from virtually any speed with minimal effort. Within just a couple of days of this new capability, I'm comfortable in the drops for the first time, which means I can corner faster and with more confidence, and reduce my drag on descents. Who would have thought that brake upgrades would make me faster! I also have way more control over my speed, as predicted. I used to get very nervous riding behind a car (especially on a downhill) because I knew they could brake faster than I could, but I don't have to worry about it anymore.

These are the 2nd set of these I have bought for various bikes. My 1st pair have been on my cx bike for 18months & are still operating like new. * Quick/Lightweight gear shifting * Easy to bleed * Excelent power & modulation I have tried SRAM's hydraulic setup & these are by far the nicer to hold & use especially on long days out, I liked them so much I didn't have to think twice about what I was going to fit.
