Energy Gel Plus is smooth with a light consistency and a dash of real juice for a great taste. It's not thick or overly sweet. Easy to open and swallow, each sachet contains 23g of carbohydrate and a moderate dose of caffeine (30mg). When taking EnergyGel Plus as recommended, the caffeine content can increase attention, concentration and reaction time. EnergyGel Plus is award-winning and proven in many of the World's toughest competitions.
Which High5 gel to choose: EnergyGel Plus or IsoGel Plus? Both types of gel do the same job. However, IsoGel Plus has a lighter consistency somewhere between a drink and a gel. EnergyGel Plus has a slightly thicker consistency, but is less bulky and lighter in weight, which makes it easier to carry in larger quantities.

Easy to drink and delicious. Gives the right ingredients for continued operations
Very nice taste and easy to eat on running or cycling.
These gels taste nice, aren't too thick and most importantly the packaging design allows them to be taken while riding (some I've had seem to cut the sides of my mouth!). They provide a much needed boost.
Energy gels are a commodity really, so there is not much I can do to describe the product, but I think the High5 range offer better value for money than SIS, so this is a good buy.
Been using High5 orange flavoured gels for several years now as they are the only ones I find palatable. Good price made a great price. Cheers.
I received excellent delivery times and this is a great offer for the High5 Sports Energy Gel Plus.
I purchased High5 Sports Energy Gel Plus, it's a good deal but I experienced a problem with the delivery condition when they arrived so I raised a complaint. The issue was speedily rescued and to my satisfaction and I can't fault Probikekit for anything. Their response was to send a new pack of Gel and ship it swiftly! They even changed courier to help the issue. Thanks Probikekit!
Isogels are also available in a 'Plus' version, where the standard ingredients are joined by 30mg of caffeine. According to High5 website this will 'enhance performance and improve carbohydrate uptake'..... I have tested several sachets of standard IsoGel and Isogel Plus on some long rides, and they definitely work
Do they work? Yes, absolutely. I have used High5 Energy Gels on several long rides, and they definitely provided sufficient energy to keep me bowling along nicely. Most sports scientists agree that athletes can absorb a maximum of around 60g of glucose per hour, and that's illustrated well with these gels: on long sportives, after the first two hours, I find that one High5 Energy Gel, plus some carb-based drink, keeps me fuelled up for half an hour of fairly hard riding.....On a crude carbs-per-quid basis there are cheaper options out there from other brands, but the relatively small sachet size and the light texture of High5 Energy Gels might be preferred by riders who find the gels from some other manufacturers too big and thick to take all at once.
Used these this weekend (Citrus) and they do what they say on the packet. Top product
Tried both flavors and the raspberry is the less tart...very enjoyable and provided that required energy boost I was looking for. Would recommend to anyone looking for an easy digest gel on the go..
These are just like other gels in terms of energy gained. The difference is in the liquid consistency making them very easy to get down quick. The flavours where good and on par with other brands. This has to be one of my favourites because I don't have to fight with it trying to get it down while I'm in the middle of a group. Just rip open and drink it down. Just like a lot of the other reviewers I love the raspberry flavour the most.
I bought a box of each of these and realized the raspberry actually goes down very nicely, and it's not a jolt of caffeine, enough to keep you going on marathons when you alternate between a caffeine and non-caffeine one. The orange one however leaves you with a bad after taste, and needs to be washed down with water, the raspberry one however is fine.
I like the high5 gels a lot, with sharp tastes and a semi-liquid consistency, they go down smoothly without having to drink 250mL of water.
So I've tried out both flavours of these gels. As gels themselves they work great, go down easily. Contrary to what the other reviewer said I've found that I'm usually all right with just taking the gels without water but to each their own preference. What I have found though is that the orange flavour does leave a longer after taste in your mouth (Which is not a particularly pleasant one at that) whereas the Raspberry one is absolutely delicious. So like all high5 stuff, does the job no fuss and all, but like all sports nutrition the flavours are each to personal taste.
These high 5 gels are great and the caffeine ones are even better!
They are very concentrated so you need to take some water with them but that means you can fit a lot of them into a smaller space, once taken you can really feel the caffeine taking hold and really gives you a boost, great pre race just to give you that starting edge.
My only problem with them is that the taste is a little sharp and tangy.
