Carrera Road Helmet
The carrera road helmet fits perfectly and look hot with my carrera phibra evo!
CRASH TESTED
I purchased this helmet a few months ago and have worn it for about 4000km of road cycling since . This last weekend I had the unfortunate opportunity to test the helmets functionality in a 35kph crash ( when I hit a patch of diesel fuel left on the road on a bend ).. My head took a sizable impact ,to the point that it was visible on the road surface where the helmet struck .The right hand side of the helmet took the entire impact The shell remained intact and the straps held it in place perfectly ,the liner obviously did the job of absorbing the impact as the liner on the right hand side has crushed and partially disintegrated under the shell (absorbing and dissipating the energy of the impact) and is still mostly intact where it was in contact with my head . whilst I was stunned for a few seconds after the crash and had many other injuries I am pleased to report that my head and contents were the one bit that suffered no ill effects from the crash the emergency dept doctors found no signs of concussion . I am very confidant that had I not been wearing a helmet (or even a lesser quality helmet) I would have suffered traumatic head and probably brain injuries .....Or worse . In short I found it to be comfortable to wear easy to use ,the finish and fit is excellent ,the rear light is handy in traffic or when your main rear light stops working and when I really ,really needed it to do the job it was designed for ,it worked perfectly .....what more do you need
