Team Probikekit.com Team Launch – 9/1/2010

Team Probikekit.com, the UK’s most recently announced Elite Cycling Team, has published an exciting rider line-up for the 2010 season. The team was unveiled at the official launch in Risca, South Wales on 9th January 2010 in an event hosted by team manager James Smith and guest speaker Tony Carpenter, former Team GB physio and road racing fanatic.

The partnership between founder of the website www.rutrainingtoday.co.uk and title sponsors, www.probikekit.com, has provided an opportunity for a dynamic and diverse mix of experienced and young talented riders with the aim of maximising their assets. “Lots of different strands came together today to form this team,” says James Smith, Team Probikekit manager, “and despite the weather we have launched the team. I am really pleased with the enthusiasm of the riders, sponsors and families.

The rider line up includes former professional rider Richard Wilkinson, former New Zealand rider Nick Büsst and former National Time Trial Champion Tom Collier. Along with Jamie Howard, John Nye, Chris Lobb, Elite rider Robert Willcocks and 2008 South West Circuit Champion rider/manager James Smith to name but a few.

 
The team braved the treacherous weather conditions to celebrate their launch with sponsors, friends and family in Risca, home to key sponsor Gareth Clarke managing director of www.jbc-nutrition.co.uk. “The hugely successful Launch of Team Pro-bike Kit was the combined result of months of hard work between www.jbc-nutrition.co.uk and the team, seeing the riders come together and perform as a team was very rewarding. I am proud to be sponsoring such an Elite team of riders and wish them all the best for the forthcoming season.
  

The Official Elite UK Probikekit Race Team brings together some of the South West Region’s most talented riders to face the challenge of the Premier Calendar Series and many of the countries top events. The team of eight riders face a diverse and challenging race programme aiming to be dominant in the South West region as well as achieving successes elsewhere.

Manager James Smith firmly believes that this accomplished team are ready to take the step onto a bigger stage and that their strong team spirit will help them succeed. “The 2010 season will form part of a bigger picture for us. Year one is about building a solid team foundation and gaining the necessary experience needed to compete at the highest level in the UK and abroad. I am confident that the squad we have assembled will continue to develop, while competing effectively against the more established teams.

The team website will allow fans of the team to view individual rider information as well as follow their progress over the 2010 season. Plus the site features a team blog, galleries, race news as well as the usual Probikekit product news, reviews, competitions.
