nice all around

Really happy with these wheels. I immediately felt the difference in getting off the line and climbing. Light but also comfortable. Got a good price for their quality.

Good Value

Good value, an instantly noticeable light wheel that doesn't break the bank! Just 200g heavier than the comparable Dura-Ace wheels and I prefer the steel cassette spline on the RS81s, being much more durable. The bearings run smooth and true and I have a pair of RS81s on each of my two road bikes. The first pair I bought, have 3,000km of last summers riding and have remained true and smooth. Highly recommended for all aspects of road riding.

Rims mate

I got the rs81s to replace my rs20s and on my timed rides I'm 4to5mins quicker the light rims smash the hills to yep I like these rims mate

Great Wheels

Great lightweight wheels. Fitted perfectly and ran true. Three weeks and 600ks later still running true and without any problems.

Great Product & Price--Slow Ship and Weak Communications

The Shimano RS81 C24 wheelset is excellent. Really great value. Original Shimano packaging was excellent and they arrived in perfect condition. The bearing races are a little tight, but really nothing to complain about regarding the product. ProBikeKit's dispatch was very slow--more than 3 days. Once "dispatched" the product didn't show up in the tracking system for another 5 days. Even calling it a "tracking system" is a bit of a misnomer. Once the system recognized my tracking number...that's all the tracking system did--recognize the number. At least for deliveries here in the US, the system doesn't provide any useful information about delivery status and scheduled delivery date!

Great wheels

I was not expecting much from a wheel upgrade, but... It is almost like the roads have been resurfaced, the bike rides much smother with less vibration - not that it was bad before, I just notice that it gone!!! The bike also seems a little quicker on hills - a fact borne out by a couple of recent PR's on short steep hills that I ride a lot and rarely PR. I can't speak about long term performance and reliability, but the first 300 miles have been great.

Wheel Heaven

My wife permanently borrowed my Kyserium Equip rear wheel and left me with her squeaky Bontrager Race wheel. Since my front wheel was borrowed, I decided to get a whole new wheel set. These carbon laminate wheels are the lightest and best spinning wheels I have ever owned. They do make a clicking noise while coasting, but much softer than you get with a Kyserium wheel. These Shimano wheels are faster and smoother (and lighter) than my previous Kyserium Equip wheel. I have a century and a 30 mile ride on them right now. I can not comment on longevity (yet) but the price is right. Expect to pay roughly double for this wheel set in the USA. Shipping time was not bad considering the distance these wheels need to travel. Definitely recommended!

Couldn't be happier

A new bike isn't in the budget at the moment however I thought a new set of rims to replace the Bontragers on the aging Trek might help it keep rolling for another couple of seasons. After a bit of research I decided on the Shimano C24's and I couldn't be happier. They arrived in good time, took little time to fit despite my mediocre bike mechanic skills and seemed to be straight and true out of the box. Another big plus for me was the fact I could roll new tyres on without the aid of levers which was something I couldn't do with the old rims. I can't say with any certainty that they've made the bike any quicker but they certainly ride extremely smooth and quiet even on some pretty rough roads. To sum up, I would happily recommend these rims for training or racing, they look nice, have faultless braking and they have honestly made my bike feel like new again.

Best bang for buck

Shimano quality for an incredible price point. Those wheels are packed with higher range features (weight, stiffness, tubeless ready, 11sp ready, etc) but still keep a lower range price. Those wheels kept true even after riding hard on poor conditions road, being myself on the heavy side it is a sign of great quality and great construction. I hesitated longly between those C24 and the C35 but for the price, the weight and the quality im glad i make that choice!

Rs81 C24's clinchers

This is my first reveiw of a product and long over due considering these reveiws can be very helpful when making decisions. I have about 300 miles on these wheels so far and are a great upgrade from my stock Bontrager races that came on my Trek Madone 5.2. I lost right at 1/2 lb of rotating weight from my previous wheelset. They did weigh pretty true to 1500g They spin up very quick and are comfortably stiff, which feels good when your out of the saddle. I run 23mm GP4000's with light weight tubes. I noticed a certain road dampening I assume is coming from the carbon in the center of the rim, or could just be the overall quality of the wheels but still noticeable smoother than previous wheelset. The only reason i did not give 5 Stars is because the rear wheel has become a bit out of true. Not a big deal i'll take it down to my LBS and have them straighten it up, but still a little dissapointing. They have a very mellow look but that being said you can see some cool carbon layup and are very glossy when the sun hits them ! Overall im very happy with my purchase and i wish more people would take the time to write reveiws. I hope this was helpful.
