This brand new Racing 5 has been brought in for 2015 with one purpose in mind. They have been designed with a slightly wider rim to facilitate an easier fitting of 25c tyres. This means the rider can benefit from better comfort, better grip and slower tyre wear.

Really nice set of wheels at a good price. They're light and when paired with a decent set of tyres should improve your performance. I went from some stock tyres and wheels I my Cannondale and times are now closer to the pace I would set in summer. Climbing is certainly easier! Saving some money for Quattros now.
Bought these Fulcrum Racing 5 to replace wheels on a winter bike. Have previously used Racing 7 wheels and these are noticeably better, lighter and run really smoothly. Quick realise on rear creaked when put under pressure, easily solved when well greased. You forget how sloppy your old wheels have become (loose freehub & hub) until you put in some new wheels, changes gear like a new bike now. Rims are wide but I like the way this feels and seem to have better climbing traction in the wet as a result.
So far I've only covered 160 miles but they feel faster, more responsive and no heavier then the 2 1/2 year old, 12000 mile, Campagnolo Ventos they replace. Since, as far as I am aware, they are effectively made by the same people I am hoping from the same durability/reliability. Only time will tell.
I bought these as emergency winter training wheels after my custom built efforts reached the end of their life. I was already a fan of wide rims (Ardennes Plus) and these with 25mm rubber (85psi) are remarkably stiff, sure footed and roll well. I'm not a fan of the red nipples and the stickers had to come off straight away but these are better than many wheels I've had at twice the price.
very good set of wheels especially for training due to its weight.. stiff wheels and very responsive. this is my 2nd set of racing 5 and would highly recommend it, not to mention the price, you get more than what you paid for...
I was looking for a new wheelset that had more rigidity than my original spec wheels. Although these added a few more grams, they prove to be very tough. I'm also enjoying the wider rim that suits a 25mm tyre perfectly. Recommended. Fast delivery, great customer service.
Great winter wheels, reliable and strong enough to last the rest of the year on my commuter/winter bike - 200+ miles every week. Lighter than one I'd used previously for very little extra cash. Plus OK on the club rides each weekend, don't get dropped or left behind on climbs!
