These mudguards have a reputation for keeping you and everyone around you dry and clean. Crud Road Racer Mk2 Mudguards have been updated and re-engineered to bring them into the modern day. New features include a wide lip on the rear mudguard, which not only prevents mud and muck from flicking up and onto you, but can also protect you from debris and small stones. A pair of Crud Road Racer Mk2 mudguards can be an indispensable tool for your daily commute and those tough winter rides. - T.H

Best mudguards I've ever bought. Easy to fit once the instructions read and took about an hour. Very secure on the bike and and virtually no water or road muck now reaches me or the bike. Truly an amazing design that works in all weather's and no issues from vibrations/shocks from the state of the roads. 11 out of 10!
Really good piece of kit that does exactly as it should. A bit of a palaver to install and can have an irritating rub but other than that great.
Great fenders for road bikes! No matter is it classic steel one or new carbon geometry, these mudgurds are easy to install, maintance and do what they are made for - keep the dirt away from you or your bike. The lightest ones also on the market!:)
The mudguards require basic assembly before fitting using the instructions provided. It is advisable to protect your frame with electrical tape before mounting the stays. You need to have enough clearance on your frame and forks. I had to switch from 25 to 23 tyres to fit them to my carbon road bike and swap the front brake calliper for a less chunky one. It was worth it though as I can now enjoy long distance endurance events whatever the weather and the mudguards look great.
Good pair of mudguards nice and light and keep you dry with a good fit for a racer. Happy I bought them
Once I got my head around the instructions (I recommend the on line video) they were easy to fit and so far are doing the job well. Very light too.
excellent prices good service, what more can u ask for
Great service, great coverage by the 'guards and easy to fit and great price. Would well recommend.
These mudguards are easy to fit and ideal if you have little clearance . They are a good design and they do not hinder the bike's performance . An excellent product and good speedy delivery too
Great item fiddly to fit but when fitted they def do the job there at limit with 25mm tyre the only doqn side is the plastic nuts are easy to overtighten
Look good quality and well made. Rear fits fine but dont have the clearance to fit the front properly. Sadly not something you can find out till you buy them and give it a go.
Decent look good easy to fit especially after viewing website film details included in instructions
Took me about 3 hours to get them applied on my Trek 2.5 Alpha, but looking back it would probably take 20-30 minutes tops if I need to do it again. Looks like a lot of parts and things to connect and to make sure everything fits correct at first, but it's actually much easier than it seems. Anyhow, taking caution and doing it slowly the first time to make sure you get it all right is good. The parts are made very cleverly and everything fits great, you might think that the tail parts are a bit flimsy once you've got everything installed, but once you start riding it's clear that there's no problem with that, I mean they are supposed to be super light and super slick, so they will be somewhat flimsy just because of being slim and minimalistic plastic pieces, I guess they could make these in carbon to be more sturdy, but I'm guessing the price tag would be whoppingly higher then as well, all the plastic and rubber parts do seem very high quality. Anyhow, what's most important they do what they are supposed to -- the bike and you stay clean. I use them here in northern Thailand during the rainy season, there's loads of dirt along the wet on the roads when the torrential rainstorms come in and I can still ride my bike strong and forget that I've got the full fenders on.
These are ace. I'm not mechanicly minded but these went on with minimal swearing in about 30 mins. They look tidy, they fit my Scott CR1 pro very nicely indeed. Been out on 3 / 4 rides with them already and no complaints at all.
Ordered these at 7.30 pm and received them at 8.30am the next day which I didn't know was possible til now. The crud road racer mk2 was a tad fiddley to fit but got it perfect on each wheel with my first attempt as I followed the online video tutorial to a tee. They look tidy and keep your bike, back and others behind you clean and dry (if not raining but wet roads)
Great set of mudguards at a great price. Excellent if your tight on clearance.
I love these minimalist fenders, we have a lot of rainy days in Sweden and thanks to them increase comfort considerably. 2013 I've driven with them over 8,000 km.
Fantastic, came quickly . easy to fit. Does what it says.
Good price and appear relatively durable. Take a long time to fit - 1hr - but after 100+km no loose fixings
I've never fancied putting mud guards on my road bike but all the recent rain made me think at this price I will give it a go! I'm converted! No rattles, keeps all of the road nastiness off the drivetrain and brakes and they keep you dry!
I bought these for my carbon frame as it doesnt have standard mudguard mounts, took about 10mins to fit first time and have performed perfectly.
Bit difficult to work out how to apply but once I worked it out nice neat job . Good value for money .
Brought these crud road racers because i was fed up of cleaning my road bike off after every ride . they do every thing the reviews say and are also very light would'nt even know they was there
Excellent product, takes about an hour to fit properly. Lightweight and removable. Highly recommend if you have some practical ability to fit them.
very light and flimsy looking. Fitting without any tools, two rubber bands and two cable ties for the back, two rubber bands and one cable tie for the front. Looks like they should fall off. A couple of brush strips to keep central. Fits in very tight clearance. Had to pour boiling water over and bend into shape to get the final fit. 250 miles of flooded Surrey roads and pouring rain later and they really are very good, Stayed in place with no further adjustment. No rubbing, Keep the rain off. I wish everyone else had them then I could draft. Highly recommended.
Easier to fit than expected, light and have done a good job of keeping the worst of the appalling recent weather at bay.
The mudguards were well priced and arrived in quick time. I fitted them to my bike in about 30minutes. Now they are assembled this time will be cut to about 5 minutes in future. Tested them in the wet and they work just great. I don't think they spoil the lines of the bike either as they are quite low profile. No problems with rattle or rubbing. A great bit of kit.
Very good price. Well packaged and quick dispatch. Glad I watched video to see the tips and tricks to fitting these. Wasn't sure how good they would fit but was very satisfied with the outcome. No wet bottom or legs now especially in the current weather conditions. Very happy with them, just hope they last the distance.
Excellent product used before . Top service
I was put off mudguards years ago by chrome ones which rattled and weighed a ton. You hardly notice these at all. My friends also appreciate the extra long rear blade. There is a cunning blade at the seat post to protect your front derailleur too. No wet or muddy strips up my back. They even keep my feet/ankles reasonably well protected and no complaints from anyone behind either! Well worth the money!
A bit tricky to fit but the online video walk-through was really helpful. Took the bike for a wet in rotten conditions and i stayed clean - what more can you ask for
Very pleased with this bit of kit, they keep the you dry when the roads are damp. A little fiddly to fit but once on easy to adjust. Would advise anyone to get these.
great guards for close clearance road bike. a bit fiddly to get rear wheel spinning without contact, especially with band-on front mech, but once fitted they keep a lot of the muck off. especially round the front mech - the extension cover works well. also longer & wider tails help you keep friends with following riders!. cable tie on rear mech to seat tube wore through, but easy to repalce in situ.
I bought these for my training bike, good coverage front and bike, and very light. Seems a little fragile but a good solution in terms of fenders for road bikes with little clearance around the tires and no eyelets. The front fender is quite stable when descending. Did tape a piece of thin plastic to extend the rear fender so people behind me are not sprayed in the face.
I bought these fully expecting them to be quite trick to fit. After a quick hit on youtube (highly recommended), the mudguards were quickly and easily installed. Since then I have had several weeks of ryback riding and could not recommend this product more highly. As usual a prompt delivery service helps too.
These are fabulous mudguards and do an excellent job. The extra long tail on the rear mudguard ensures your back (and bum) don't get covered in mud and the riders behind don't get road spray in their mouth. It was only annoying getting the things on but after watching the tutorial it became a breeze. Highly recommended product - especially for this time of the year!
Recently purchased upon a recommendation from a more experienced biking friend. As a complete newby to biking, I found it really easy to put on my bike. I recommend using the video links on YouTube to preview what you need to do. Now that the weather has finally taken a turn for the worse, I am glad that I have fitted the cruds. Did I also mention that the cruds were also £12cheaper than on any other website, which is reason enough to purchase them!!!!!!!! A very happy newby.
The road racers can be a fiddly to install at first, but they aren't difficult. The problem for me is always getting enough clearance on my rear wheel where I'm using a 28c tyre and being able to tighten the fasteners with my fat fingers. Once they are on, they work brilliantly. Low profile, but very effective.
These are an excellent mudguard and certainly help to keep your feet and back dry (for as long as possible. Only annoying bit is having to stretch the mudguards up every few rides.
Hii.. Bought the mud guards just in time for the bad weather... Good fit
A bit fiddly to get on, but once in position they keep everything from flying off the road onto the frame and body - water, mud and whatever else. Recommended.
If your bike has the necessary clearance these mudguards are superb. Lightweight & close fitting, the front mudguard protects your shoes & face, whilst the rear mudguard not only protects your mates it also keeps your bum & back dry. The clever flared design also shields the front changer from all the water, mud, salt & dirt. It's such pleasant change to get back from a ride and not have to strip down the entire bike to clean off all the muck. When you're putting in long Winter training miles mudguards can make all the difference to your comfort, if you're keeping dry you're less likely to be feeling cold & tired The only minus I can think off is they're not very robust; however in the event of breakage replacements parts are easily available
I was sceptical right up until I actually rode out with these on. Yes, they're very tight and when not riding they'll probably still rub a little. But they definitely work, work well and the PBK price is excellent.
This is the first mudguard I have tried. No getting soaked any more and I do not annoy people behind now. Excellent mudguard for the price and has a good appearance. Slightly fiddly to fit but once they are on there was no problem with rubbing despite the close clearance.
Nothing else could possibly fit my planet x but these, tight fit but they work. Excellent design and even more importantly excellent price again from PBK, used PBK a lot recently can't fault them.
Fitting was fiddly as other reviewers said but I did follow the youtube instuctions. Still feels like they are catching somewhere but might be just the brushes. Definitely seems to slow me down. Does the job though this weather but can't wait for spring.
Let me just say that putting mudguards on a roadbike feels to me like putting a boiler suit on a beautiful woman. I don't like my the way my bike looks like with "boots" on. It was with a begrudging heart therefore that after one soggy backside too many as Autumn crept in that I decided my beloved bike was going to have to take the cosmetically gauche step of having mudguards. My priorities were a) weight and b) not making my bike look like it had become a nerdy librarian type. Crud Road Racer Mk2 Mudguards seem to fulfill both of those criteria, as well as not costing the earth. I did my research well, and, even with the trepidation that they were notoriously tricky to fit, I bought them anyway. The chaps at Probikekit packaged it and had them with me very quickly for which I was pleasantly surprised and grateful. There is an excellent video on YouTube which acts as a tutorial and I would strongly recommend you watch it before fitting. The instructions that come with them might as well as be how to assemble your own lunar lander for all the help they are. Once watched however, I found assembling the mudguards on the bike very straightforward really. Just take it nice and slowly and be thorough and you will get there. They really will work in very narrow spaces. The carbon forks on my Boardman offer precious little space for mudguards, but I still managed to fit them without cutting or alteration. Once fitted, you will need to do a bit of fiddling around with them to get the arc right around the wheel, but once you have that and all the ties are tightened they will give you precious little trouble. They are very light which is good, barely noticeable in fact. They do appear flimsy but at this weight and price what do you expect? Titanium? They also fit very close to the wheel and hug the wheel's contour very well so the don't actually notice that much as mudguards which is pleasing. So instead of your bike looking like it's wearing a boiler suit, it now looks like the aforementioned librarian with a pair of sexy glasses on which she can take off seductively come the spring and the new season. All in all, I made the right choice, and it's so nice not to have a soggy backside when inclement weather strikes!
Very good mudguards which can be fitted on bikes with minimal clearance. These are the only mudguards I can fit on my Scott CR1. They are also very good at keeping the rider, and mechanical components free of muck and grime. They will also be appreciated by the people riding with you as they stop spray flying up into the face of following riders, something may other mudguards fail to do. Look quite good too.
I was sceptical when I bought them. I was more sceptical when I fitted them. Having been out with them though, I'm not sceptical any more. Yes clearance is minimal (mine still rub slightly off the bike), fitting can be fiddly (but watch the video of Mr. Crud), but they definitely work. Only downside is getting past the noise when you ride through some crud. Good product, great price.
