Named after the the Cross Crusade in Portland Oregon, USA (the largest participant cyclocross series in the World). Clement’s Crusade PDX (the Portland airport code) is an all-around performer with a particular love for mud.
The centre knobs are aligned to give you a fast roll on hard pack and pavement. Side knobs offer superior edge control so your bike stays under you in the curves, and the leading edge of the knob gives you extra traction coming out of corners. Since its introduction in 2010, the PDX has quickly become one of the most popular cross clinchers on the market.

Based on the first time I rode these tyres they would be a 5 star - rolled well on the tarmac with the y shaped knobbly bits in the centre of the tyre meaning they were relativly smooth and fast, and there was enough grip on the outside of the tyre to handle muddy conditions / gravel without any sliding around. Second time I rode them was a 1 star experience as there was a loud banghalf way through the ride, and a on inspection a tear a couple of centimetres across, which meant I had to limp home with the aid of a tyre boot. A mate who had recommended the tyres had ridden them for 18months with no problems, so I'm hoping and expecting my experience with them second time round will be hassle free. Kudos to Probikekit for replacing them - albeit after a bit of tooing and froing - even though it was strictly not a manufacturing default.

Bought these after much research as to what were the best mud/general purpose CX race tyres and having now used the in anger at a round of our local CX race series I am impressed, worth the Probikekit price and a great service also. Would definitely buy again.
