Right for racing

Speedplay are my pedal of choice. I bought these and tried them. They were great for road, esp with the stiffer release. Have since stopped using them as I mostly commute these days and hence use the standard stainless steel pedals. But in all, these are great for sprinters. I agree with the previous review, they can still pop out if the float is reduced to 0. Still a great pedal system!

Even better than the regular Zero

I bought a pair of these for my track bike and liked the stiffer release so much that I put a pair on my road racing bike and my TT bike as well.
They offer all the traits of the standard Zero pedal - easy clip in with adjustable float. The cleats are the same, and if you use them too long the cleat spring snaps off in the same place every time whichever version of the pedal you are using (probably a good reason to follow the instructions on replacement intervals). Really the only difference is stiffer release and no colour choice.
They only get four stars because even with the stiff release I still pop out of them on the track bike if I try to lock my foot down to zero float.
