Ultegra 6700 Crankset
This crankset is an upgrade from a stock square taper FSA Vero crank/rings with an RPM sealed bearing cartridge (I also upgraded to the SM-BBR60 bottom bracket). Weighing the previous set-up to the new (bottom brackets included), I shaved off slightly over 1 pound! The swap was easy to do as I already had an ultegra 6700 front derailleur. I had to make some simple front derailleur adjustments to get clean shifts. Also, I have a new narrow chain on order as my KMC chain is about 0.7 mm too wide to have no rubbing across all gears in my cassette. The crankset itself is super stiff, I am surprised by how noticeable the difference is. Also, shifting is almost instantaneous. I am especially impressed with how smooth going to the big ring is (although, why should I ever not be in the big ring). With the weight savings and improved power transfer/shift performance, I am really happy with this purchase. Great product Shimano.
