Compatible with GPS and GLONASS satellites for faster satellite acquisition and improved signal lock, the 510 is suited for the most challenging conditions, such as forests and valleys.

Track Every Detail

Garmin-510-Tracking

The 510 records your distance, speed metrics, ascent/descent, grade and more. Take your training farther with ANT+®-compatible sensors that measure your heart rate, speed/cadence and power. The activity profiles feature allows you to customise data fields and device settings based on cycling activity, such as training or racing. Switch profiles with a simple swipe of the touchscreen and your device will be set up to show the data you need for that ride. When you complete a ride, the 510 displays any new personal records you achieved, such as farthest distance, most ascent gained and more.

Get Connected

Edge 510 offers a suite of connected features when paired with your smartphone (Apple® or Android™) and the Garmin Connect Mobile app. This allows you to gain comprehensive, accurate ride data from a dedicated device, while saving your phone battery. Edge tracks the data and sends it to your phone using a Bluetooth® connection. Stay connected and share all the details of your ride with friends, family and your social media contacts. You can post an update immediately after your ride or race with details from your completed activity. You'll create your posts via your smartphone, and the ride data's already there, thanks to the interface with Garmin Connect Mobile.

Live Tracking

Garmin-510-Tracking

The live tracking feature allows your friends and family to follow your races and training activities in real time. Invite followers using email or social media, so they can view your live data on a Garmin Connect tracking page. Once they get your email invite, they can click to follow and see your stats and location on the map.

Weather

Get real-time weather conditions, forecasts and alerts directly on the Edge 510 when it's paired with your smartphone and Garmin Connect Mobile. This feature is useful for extended rides, and it lets you keep your smartphone safe and dry, while the weather data you need is at your fingertips.

Wireless Data Transfers

Now you can instantly store, share and analyse every detail of your ride. The Garmin Connect Mobile app allows for wireless uploads of completed activities from your device as soon as you finish recording an activity. You choose whether activities are automatically or manually uploaded. Once your ride has posted to Garmin Connect, your own "connections" can view them. You can also search your courses and workouts stored at Garmin Connect, download to your smartphone, then send directly to your Edge 510 — wirelessly. Use the courses and Virtual Partner® features on your Edge to race your previous activities in real time.

Excellent Purchase

Easy to order - well narrated discription of Garmin Edge510 - arrived standard delivery 2 days later - great product & service overall! My first order with Probikekit - to say I was pleased would be an understatement !!

Edge 510 Performance Bundle

A fantastic piece of kit. The performance bundle includes wireless speed & cadence sensor & premium heart rate monitor. Also includes the out-front mount and two extra rubber band mounts meaning you can fit this on up to three bikes. The bluetooth connection to your mobile phone means the Edge 510 can reach the world while you're on the move with live tracking and weather reports. It also makes synchronizing your activity to Garmin Connect and beyond (Strava, etc) an automated event. Very pleased with mine.

Awesome upgrade

I've been riding for just over a year now and have tracked most of it on strava using my phone. However this year wanted to structure my training better and keep track of my rides as I do them so getting a garmin was a great choice. The mounts are easy to install giving a clear view of the screen and they seem very secure so no worries about losing over a bump. All the settings on this are great easy to use and to read. I love the virtual partner for setting the pace of the ride and being able to upload to strava from my phone is also great when I ride to work. Absolutely love this device and would recommend it to those looking to get their first gps or are upgrading.

Garmin 510 Computer

Device came loaded with the latest Firmware from Garmin and has worked flawlessly out of the box. I've used this device on a couple of bikes, one with the cadence/speed sensor and one with only the GPS for speed/location both with and without the supplied HRM and can see no flaw with the way it works. Integration with my android phone via bluetooth is also seamless and end of ride uploads to Garmin Connect and also Strave (through Garmin Connect) are seamless. I've tried the route guidance feature also which worked well enough to navigate round some unknown roads for me, much less hassle than trying to remember or taking a map. All in all it does what it ways on the box which is what you should expect for the price.

Garmin 510

I was concerned that the 510 would be too big but it's actually a great size. The dual GPS and GLONASS systems on the 510 really do result in a much more accurate mapping of the route. My old GPS only phone used to be poor in wooded areas. The 510 is spot on everywhere thanks to GLONASS. I use the out front mount on my road bike and the stem mount on my MTB (Both supplied with the 510). Super easy to download to Strava. Screens easily configured to show a huge number of data configurations although the Garmin instructions are not too clear. I just looked on YouTube. HRM strap is the new premium type and very comfortable. Overall very happy with the 510. PBK had best price with the discount code (-15%). Delivery was very quick.

Not quite 5 stars

I am a born again 50 year old cyclist. Bought the Garmin Edge 510 to replace Runtastic App on iPhone. I wanted to measure heart rate and cadence more accurately, also wanted longer battery life for longer runs. I went for the 510 as apposed to other models because it offered live tracking, like Runtastic, Overall very impressed, in conjunction with Garmin Connect the information you can analyse is great. Also creating workout and course is second to none. The downers? Live tracking is a waste of time at the moment, the app on my iphone keeps crashing and my wife says that the online tracking keeps dropping out. Also when creating course you need to check we're the planner takes you, last weekend it wanted me to cycle across a field full of cows! If I was to buy again I'd look at saving a bit of money and not bothering with the live tracking facilities.

Buy something else

Had this for a year now. Not worth the $ unless you need live track. Display is VERY dim so you have to turn the backlight to always on and even then you can barely see it in the sun. The gradient feature varies by 5% while on the flats so it is almost useless. With the display brightness turned up the battery only lasts for 8 hrs tops. The accessories work well, connect fast and are reliable and the mount is great. I would recommend the 500 instead as it is lighter and has a better display.

SeanM

I purchased this to replace or sit alongside my Polar CS600 as like many others I have had issues with sensors and the cost. That and the battery life of my phone on long rides and/or runs using Strava was killing the battery when you might need it for an emergency. So far so good but that is not to say I have not had glitches the unit froze yesterday on a long ride and would not download to Garmin Connect and retrieve the data manually which was really frustrating. Fortunately Strava sucked out what it stored till it froze so not all was lost. I like the accuracy and it never misses a segment on Strava which my phone would often do. The setup was really easy 3 profiles set up already for bikes and a second sensor on my race bike. On the mountain bike I have been warned off fitting a sensor as they do not last due to the grime and general dirt. Garmin connect is easy to use and there is a third party app to link to Strava which works really well so far. The first week of use has been really good experience but with loosing the information I have marked it down. The data from Garmin connect is really useful and accurate which is much better than I am used to. Looking forward to being able to interrogate this more and use this for training.
